Itinerary

Our adventure to the Rainbow Mountain begins early, with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We’ll travel in a tourist vehicle through beautiful valleys and stunning Andean landscapes until we reach the village of Cusipata, where a delicious breakfast prepared with local ingredients awaits us. Then, we’ll continue along a dirt road to the starting point of the hike.
The trek to the summit takes approximately two to two and a half hours. Along the way, you’ll admire herds of alpacas, snow-capped peaks, and the majestic Ausangate, considered a sacred mountain by locals. The weather in this region can change quickly, so it’s recommended to dress in layers (up to three), wear sunscreen, and protect your hands from cold or sunlight.
At the top, Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) will amaze you with its vibrant shades of red, yellow, green, and purple. After enjoying the view and taking photos, we’ll return to Cusipata for a delicious lunch before heading back to Cusco.
