From the Amazon to the Inca Empire

Upon arrival in Lima, an AndeXperience representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel so you can settle in and begin an unforgettable afternoon.

Our City Tour includes visits to Plaza San Martín and the impressive Gran Hotel Bolívar, icons of Republican Lima. We will then walk through the streets of the historic center to reach the Main Square, home to the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, and the majestic Cathedral. The tour continues to the Convent of San Francisco, famous for its baroque architecture and mysterious catacombs, and concludes at the historic Church of Santo Domingo, a site of deep spiritual and cultural significance.

At the end of the tour, we recommend dining at one of the best restaurants in the city. Central and Maido are outstanding options according to The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023. Be sure to book in advance.

Your adventure begins with a morning flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival, a private naturalist guide will welcome you and take you by traditional canoe along the Tambopata River, where the scenery gradually transforms into pristine jungle protected by the Tambopata National Reserve. During the river journey, you will enjoy a box lunch.

At the ecolodge, you will be welcomed with a refreshing tropical juice and a short introduction to the staff. Later, you will hike along a terra firme forest trail surrounded by towering trees, where you may spot monkeys, toucans, and vibrant blue butterflies. After dinner, a night walk will reveal the fascinating wildlife that inhabits the Amazon rainforest.

Enjoy breakfast at sunrise by the river, followed by another canoe journey to Lago Condenado. This hidden mirror of water is home to fish, giant river otters, and tiger herons, among other aquatic birds — a perfect morning to observe wildlife in its natural habitat.

After lunch, you will have free time to relax or swim in the refreshing Gallucunca stream, surrounded by lush jungle. At nightfall, you will venture back onto the river for a nocturnal exploration in search of caimans, their glowing eyes reflecting the flashlight — a fascinating experience under the starry sky.

After another early breakfast, a short boat ride will take you to the starting point of a hike through humid trails and wetlands, beneath towering lupuna trees that dominate the jungle canopy. These giants can live for hundreds of years and have been silent witnesses to the history of this ecosystem.

Upon reaching the hidden lake, you may spot the elusive black caiman and once again see giant river otters swimming peacefully. It is the perfect moment to contemplate the jungle from its wildest heart. The afternoon is free to rest or simply listen to the sounds of the rainforest from your hammock

The morning schedule adapts to your flight time (recommended around midday). Our guides suggest waking up to the chorus of howler monkeys and observing birds returning to the forest before heading back by river to Puerto Maldonado.

Afterward, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco, where you will be picked up and taken to Casa Andina Standard (or similar) to drop off your luggage and rest.

No additional activities are planned — only the invaluable memories of a deep immersion in the pure Amazon rainforest.

Today you will experience the essence of Cusco as you explore its most iconic treasures. We begin at the majestic Cathedral, then continue to the mystical Temple of the Sun, Qoricancha, followed by the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuamán, with its enigmatic megalithic structures that defy logic.

Afterward, we visit the archaeological sites of Qenqo and Tambomachay, ending at the “Red Fortress” of Puka Pukara.

A unique experience that combines history, spirituality, and unforgettable landscapes that will remain with you forever.

In the morning, we will pick you up to begin our tour. We start by visiting the impressive archaeological complex of Pisac and its traditional artisan market. Then we continue to Urubamba, where you will enjoy an Andean lunch in a unique setting.

In the afternoon, we explore the majestic archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. After the visit, we board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo, where you will rest in preparation for the great experience the following day.

According to your entrance schedule, we will pick you up from your hotel to take the bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu, where we begin our approximately two-hour guided tour. During the visit, you will discover its temples, plazas, and viewpoints, followed by free time to explore at your own pace.

Afterward, we return to Aguas Calientes to enjoy a delicious lunch and relax before taking the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.

Optional: If you wish, you may spend an additional night in Aguas Calientes to enjoy an extra hike within Machu Picchu, such as Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (both available only before 9:00 a.m.). Just let us know, and we will gladly arrange it for you.

We will begin with pickup from your hotel in Cusco to start a 2.5-hour journey to the community of Soraypampa, enjoying a box breakfast along the way. From the starting point, you will begin an approximately 2-hour hike surrounded by majestic Andean landscapes until reaching the impressive Humantay Lake, famous for the intense turquoise color of its waters and the imposing backdrop of the Humantay and Salkantay snow-capped peaks. You will have time to rest and take photos. Then, we will descend to Soraypampa and board our return transportation, enjoying a box lunch on the way back to Cusco

After days of discovery in the Andes, we will transfer you from your hotel to Cusco Airport for your return flight, hoping this has been a transformative experience — an opportunity to connect with the deep essence of the Andes.
